Beginning her career in swimwear for AH Schreiber in 2006, she focused on designing for Badgley Mischka’s swimwear line, along with men’s swimwear for Target. During her time there, her desire to make her dream of her own swimwear line into a reality grew rapidly. After her brief tenure at AH Schreiber, Caitlin accepted the position of Head Designer for Aerin Rose Swimwear in 2011, Where she debuted her designs at the Miami swim show that same year. In 2012 Caitlin had the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to create her own line of high-end swimwear. One year later, she opened the doors to her very own office.
After a mere two months of conceptualization, design, and fit work, Caitlin Kelly Designer Swimwear debuted in July 2012 at Miami Swim Week, one of the largest trade shows in the world. The collection has been deemed timeless. Bikinis, monokinis, and chic one-pieces with relative cover-ups can be worn day to night. Her line has grabbed the attention of editors across the country. Most recently, her work was featured in the Sports Illustrated 2013 Swimsuit Edition. Throughout Caitlin’s career, she has remained steadfast in her belief that all women, regardless of financial background, deserve to own cutting edge, fashionable clothing with a striking design and proper fit. No matter what the price point, those basic tenets should never be ignored or sacrificed.
